Service Manager

  • Full Time - Permanent 
  • 37.5 Hours Per Week (contactable between the hours of 5pm-8pm)
  • Up to £51,000 Per Annum (dependant on experience) + Generous Flexible Benefits
  • Based at: Princess Royal University Hospital Urgent Care Centre, Orpington, London

We are seeking an exceptional Service Manager to join our team at Princess Royal University Hospital UCC based in South East London.

 

The Service Manager role is a full-time position leading a team of GPs, nurses and administrators committed to delivering high quality, 24/7 urgent care services to our patients. Princess Royal University Hospital UCC acts as the front door to the hospital’s busy A&E department and operates every day of the year. Your role will be to maintain the high quality of patient care and move the service forward to new levels of service quality/safety and efficiency, increasing service integration and creating the conditions for staff to work at their best.

Requirements

We are looking for a Service Manager with extensive service and operational management experience and the following attributes:

  • Ability to provide strong leadership to a team with effective performance management
  • Strong communication and influence skills with the ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a complex, fast paced environment
  • Time management and organisational skills including working to tight deadlines
  • Strong change management skills
  • Experience of managing NHS primary or secondary care services
  • Experience in an Urgent Care setting
  • Multi-disciplinary pathway working knowledge
  • Ability to work flexibly including participation in out of hours on call
  • Qualified to degree level (bachelors) or equivalent
