Patient Champion

  • Part-time - Permanent Position
  • 28.5 Hours per week (9am-7pm 3 days per week)
  • Up to £22,000 per annum FTE (dependant on experience) + Generous Flexible Benefits

Greenbrook Healthcare is a fast growing and successful provider of NHS primary care services with a leading position in operating innovative urgent care centres across London. We are currently seeking to hire a Patient Champion on a Part-time, Permanent basis for the service based at Northwick Park Hospital. 


The post holder will primarily focus on supporting the streaming nurse and treating clinicians with the redirection of appropriate patients to alternative services, for example follow up GP appointments, sign posting patients to other health or social care services and GP registration following relevant policies, procedures and pathways.


The post holder will work flexibly, including a shift pattern that covers 3 days of the week working from 9am - 7pm, to meet the needs of the service.


This is a patient-facing role where the post holder will use their interpersonal skills to focus on improving the patient experience through appropriate redirection, signposting, information and education.

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong organisation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proactive task-oriented attitude
  • Understanding of the health system
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Must be reliable and work flexible between hours of 09:00 - 19:00 3 days a week on a rota basis
  • Support of NHS values/ethics including confidentiality and Equality Opportunities/Diversity

Desirable

  • Knowledge of healthcare computer systems (e.g. ADASTRA/VISION/EMIS)
  • Previous NHS/Primary Care or public sector environment experience
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
